Hi,

I found your page by following a link from the KMFS site. It's nice to find a
nicely argued piece of writing. I enjoyed reading it.
It might be worth mentioning that you don't have to be a programmer to use
Unix/Linux/BSD etc. I've used Linux as my main OS for nearly a year (I visit
the Windows area of my drive at weekends to use some graphics applications
such as Bryce and Rhino). I'm really happy with it (mainly for the same
reasons you mention) and wouldn't have Win XP on my PC if MS gave it to me
for free. I don't (can't) write code, but I manage fine with the graphic
tools provided. I don't worry about viruses or my address book sending them
to all my friends. Microsoft lost a customer, I see no good reason to go
back. Linux is so much more FUN! </end rant>
regards,
Neil
