Okay, I think I get it now. Do you mean the *configured* feed URL (i.e.,
the URL you put in the configuration file), as opposed to the one that's
actually in the feed XML itself?

It's not currently used, though I will resurrect it in 3.1. Before I
introduced the use of Freemarker, curn built its HTML output a different
way, using something called XMLC. (In fact, it built *all* of its output
formats differently.) Those previous output handlers would query that
parameter and display the RSS version (Atom, RSS 0.92, RSS 2.0, etc.)
underneath the title of each displayed feed. When I converted to
Freemarker, I inadvertently didn't propagate the use of that parameter. I
didn't notice it because I never use it. It's on the list of things to add
back to the Freemarker output handler.
